SNU Learning Sciences Research Institute

Welcome to the Learning Sciences Research Institute at Seoul National University. 

The Learning Sciences Research Institute at SNU is Korea's first and only institute that puts learning sciences research at its forefront. Established in 2023, the institute aims to address the challenges Korea's education faces in the era of artificial intelligence, and to lead the future of education. 

The Learning Sciences Research Institute envisions cutting-edge learning research and education innovation for all. It aims to research foundational knowledge and technologies to transform standardized education into learner-centered, personalized education.  

We aim to conduct interdisciplinary research on learning phenomena with experts from fields spanning education, linguistics, psychology, neuroscience, and computer science. Through collaboration with the government and various EdTech companies, we plan to explore educational innovation strategies for the digital transformation era. 

The Learning Sciences Research Institute aims not only to accumulate creative knowledge and technologies but also to work with overseas universities and research institutes beyond Seoul National University to build a global learning sciences platform.
